Uganda

Business visit visa / Work visa

There are two types of business visas: a single-entry business visa and a multiple-entry business visa.

The main category of work authorization in Uganda is the Entry Class G2 Permit, which grants long-term work authorization for six months to three years.

The Short-Term Entry Class G2 work permit allows for short-term assignments of less than six months. Extensions are not available for this permit type.

There are several other categories of work authorization, including categories for agriculture workers (Class B), mining (Class C), businessmen (Class D), manufacturing (Class E), and self-employed professionals (Class F), among others.

Note that employers may need to pay a security bond to secure a work permit for nationals of certain countries.
