Macau
Business visit visa / Work visa
Eligible business visitors can enter Macau without a visa, with authorized stay periods ranging from seven days to one year. Visa nationals must obtain a visa before entering Macau or apply for one on arrival (depending on nationality).
Foreign nationals must obtain a Work Permit and a temporary residence authorization called an "Authorization to Stay for Non-resident Workers," which is issued along with a Non-resident Worker's Identification Card (commonly referred to as a Blue Card) to work in Macau. The Work Permit can be granted with a validity of up to 24 months at the discretion of the government authority. The Blue Card has a validity period that either corresponds to that of the work visa or 30 days before the expiration date of the foreign national's travel document - whichever is shorter.
Note that there are no clear guidelines for immigration officers to follow when making work authorization decisions - the decision process is highly discretionary.
