Jamaica

Business visit visa / Work visa

Foreign nationals require an entry visa to conduct business activities in Jamaica, unless exempt based on their nationality. Regardless of nationality, business visits are limited to an authorized stay of 30 consecutive days per entry, and a cumulative maximum stay of six months per calendar year.

Foreign nationals require a Work Permit to conduct work activities in Jamaica. Work permit validity ranges from a minimum of three months to a maximum of three years; the Ministry of Labour and Social Security ultimately determine the validity period granted. Once their work permits approved, foreign nationals travel to Jamaica to have their passport endorsed, and to apply for a multiple re-entry visa, where applicable. Foreign nationals must also secure a work permit identity card from the Ministry of Labour and Social Security.

Qualified workers from CARICOM may be exempt from work permit requirements, generally for up to six months, extendable in country.
