Bolivia
Business visit visa / Work visa
While a Multiple Visa or a Specific Purpose Visa is technically required to conduct any business activities in Bolivia, in practice, visa-exempt nationals may be permitted to conduct certain, non-technical activities for up to 30 days in Tourist status granted at the port of entry. However, even visa-exempt nationals are advised to apply for a visa at a Bolivian consular post if their travel is not urgent.
Work authorization is required for foreign nationals seeking to conduct remunerated or lucrative activities in Bolivia, with or without an employment relationship with a local company.
A Specific Purpose Visa for Transitory Work can be issued for 30, 90 or up to 180 days depending on the length of the activity performed in Bolivia. The Temporary Stay Visa is used by foreign nationals seeking to conduct remunerated or lucrative activities in Bolivia for a longer term, with or without a local employment relationship. It permits work for up to three years but is generally granted for one year.
